Risk Disclaimer

This page is the short-form legal notice linked from our articles. Each section links to the full policy it summarises; where the two differ, the full policy governs.
General Risk Warning
Trading foreign exchange (Forex/FX) on margin carries a high level of risk and may not be suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to trade foreign exchange, you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite.
The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment, and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose.
You should be aware of all the risks associated with foreign exchange trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts. The full statement, including automated-trading and suitability sections, is on our risk disclosure page.
Expert Advisor (EA) Disclaimer
The Expert Advisors provided on this website are automated trading tools. Please be aware:
- Past performance is not indicative of future results. Backtested results do not guarantee future profitability.
- Every performance figure we publish is hypothetical and backtested. We have no verified live track record and do not present one. Hypothetical results are produced with the benefit of hindsight, involve no financial risk, and cannot fully reproduce slippage, requotes, or liquidity gaps. Test conditions and windows are published on our performance page.
- Automated trading systems carry inherent risks including but not limited to: software bugs, connectivity issues, market gaps, and slippage.
- No trading system can guarantee profits or prevent losses.
- You are solely responsible for any trading decisions made using our EAs.
- The EAs are provided “as-is” without warranties of any kind.
No Financial Advice
The content on this website is for educational and informational purposes only. Nothing on this website should be construed as:
- Financial advice
- Investment advice
- Trading recommendations
- An offer or solicitation to buy or sell any financial instrument
We are not licensed financial advisors, investment advisors, or broker-dealers. Always consult with a qualified financial professional before making investment decisions.
Affiliate Disclosure
FTC Compliance
In accordance with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines, we disclose the following:
SteadyPips is a participant in the XM Introducing Broker (IB) affiliate program. This means:
- We receive commissions when you open a trading account through our affiliate links and trade.
- This compensation does not affect the price you pay — there is no additional cost to you.
- Our recommendations may be influenced by our affiliate relationship.
- We only recommend services we believe provide value, but you should do your own research.
Affiliate links on this site are clearly identified. Any page containing affiliate links will include a disclosure notice, and a standing disclosure appears in the footer of every page. Full detail: affiliate disclosure.
How We Make Money
Our revenue comes from two sources:
- XM IB commissions based on the trading volume of referred accounts. We do not charge users for our Expert Advisors or educational content.
- Third-party display advertising. Advertisers have no input into our content, and an advertisement appearing on a page is not an endorsement by us.
The incentive this creates, stated plainly: we are paid when readers open XM accounts and trade. Read our broker coverage and EA recommendations with that in mind. Our editorial policy covers this conflict of interest and our corrections process in full.
Privacy and Cookies
We collect the minimum data needed to operate the EA verification system — an MT4/MT5 account number for activation, and optionally an email address for update notifications. We do not have access to your trading account, funds, or trading activity, and we do not sell personal information.
This site uses cookies for essential functionality, for analytics (Google Analytics), and — once enabled — for advertising served through Google AdSense and its partners. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites, and you can opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info/choices.
Our Privacy Policy is the authoritative document and covers what we collect, who processes it, retention, the rights available to you, and how to exercise them.
Contact
For questions about our disclaimers, privacy practices, corrections, or any other concern, email [email protected] or see our contact page for all available channels. We aim to respond within 2-3 business days.
